She fled violence in Kenya and made her home in Australia 20 years ago. She now works as a Multi Cultural Liaison Officer in Sydney’s South West supporting migrant and refugee women as they build their lives in a new country. Leah Purcell is a multi award winning Indigenous actress, writer and director. She wrote, directed and stars in her upcoming film The Drover’s Wife.
